Story of a day

Move or stay quiet. It is life. Dawn on a bed, physically quiet, mentally running, I get up and start to move: the bathroom, the door, the street. I leave the house and walk to class, the bus, the car. And then arise the paradox of the car: moving staying quiet. I arrive to the office, I sit at a desk, in front of a computer, and I stay quiet, again, physically quiet, virtually flying. The day falls: the sunset, the night. I move again: the hallway, the door, the street. Then the paradox of the car, again, or I can walk home. Arrive home, sit down and stay, again, reading a book, physically quiet, mentally running. And finally I move again, lie down in bed and stay quiet, again, all night, until the other day.

House and car. The private property of the space

Both are private spaces. It is not possible to enter without the consent of the owner. In a house, the property of the space is tied to the property of the land. It is a sedentary condition, a place to stay, to remain, to live. It's a good question if the human being needs this piece of land, if everyone has the right of a piece of land for the fact of being. After all, animals also have and defend a territory. In a car, the private space moves through the territory. It is very curious. It is a very special form of private property. The car represents the nomad condition, the possibility of owning an always different place, the same place, a temporary colonialism of the public space by a private space. It is possible to live in a car, but it is not possible to move in a house.

clothes, food and battery charging

The nomadic life
would need the determination
of a minimum baggage
and the possibility
of recharging and food
together with the finding
renewed clothes.
Some stations for clothes,
food and battery recharging
are to be designed
for a nomadic civilization.

augmented nomadic structures

Augmented nomadic structures
are the first works to be defined
for a future of nomadism. A kind
of moving house system
constitutes the first dream
of nomadic life. Particular occupation
tactics are also needed
in order to be able
to move in the "countryside".

Nomad City, How could it be?

Nomad City. How could it be?

A. A city that is not built, but with inhabitants, inhabitants that flow from everywhere to everywhere but inside the city, so the city is not a place but a bunch of relations among the people.

B. A built city with the capacity to move from a place to another, a mobile city, like a transatlantic or a spaceship.

C. A bunch of people living in tiny mobile houses that allows them to move without restrictions, an instable way to use the land.

A city is the people that lives in, or is the infrastructure that allows a place to be used, or both?
